Dalton Lane – Completion

MAW have issued Practical Completion Statement on the construction of two 19,500 sq ft industrial units, under one roof, with nearly an acre of concrete service yard. Dalton Lane Properties engaged Stainforth Construction under a JCT Design & Build Contract to construct the 39,500 sq ft building. Work commenced in mid-January, but due to the Covid-19 lockdown work was suspended for four weeks before re-commencing with suitable social distancing and sanitizing protocols in place and completed in August 2020. The development, to be known as Foundry Park, is part of the Dalton Lane Business Development Zone and has been built on the former Harold Town campus of Keighley College. A brand-new building with such a large service yard is quite unique in the Keighley area. The works involved ground improvement from vibro-compaction prior to placing the concrete foundations and ground slab. The building is a traditional structural steel portal frame construction with fully insulated built up wall and roof cladding. Rainwater attenuation has been provided under the service yard. MAW were both Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyors for the development.
